Welcome to the Front Range Photographic Society (FRPS)
The purpose of the FRPS is:
- To promote learning about photography, provide a forum for the discussion of photographic concepts and exhibition of photographs.
- To provide members opportunities to develop their photographic skills, learn from others, view the work of others, and provide a forum for speakers who are knowledgeable in the field of photography.
To accomplish these goals, FRPS includes:
- Photo-Educational Programs - Programs that are planned by the members and draw on the photographic talent both from within the club and from the photographic community. Planned field trips, workshops, and demonstrations are also included.
- Monthly Photo Commentary - Monthly photo reviews and comment sessions are conducted among the club members. Traditional and digital images are welcome and comments can be collected publicly or privately.
- Quarterly Photo Judging - Monthly photo contests are conducted among the club members and are judged by qualified judges drawn from the local photographic community. Both slide and print competitions are conducted, with two levels of competition in slides. Traditional and digital images are welcome.
- Year-End Awards, Program, Competition, and Banquet - A year-end event is conducted in December to wrap up the year’s activities with recognition of the efforts of members, awarding the best of the best, and testing the member’s photographic versatility.
