Some Inspiration…

Fall Colors in Colorado is coming up shortly…

For an inspirational look into what the Aspens do in the Fall here in Colorado and why we head out to photography them (almost religiously), check out Bill Atkinson’s images, all shot on a Hasselblad H1 with a PhaseOne P25 digital back. (Notice the clarity!)

Here’s the link to Bill Atkinson’s (of Apple Macintosh fame) “newest images” section of his website.

Free Photo Softwares

While surfing around for more information about the Canon PIXMA Pro9000 printer, I stumbled upon a list of free software packages for photo processing. Scanning through the list showed mostly Windows packages (of course!) but I found a few Macintosh ‘wares in the list that I might have to check out too!

Behind the Scenes

Another cool article I found tonight came from the Strobist blog. Someone over there found the YouTube video of the making of the Flashlight Sprint Ad. You can watch how they made it as well as the original ad as it aired. Click here to read the post.

This gives a whole new meaning to our little painting efforts with flashlights while out on a photo shoot.

Long story short: If you downloaded WordPress 2.1.1 within the past 3-4 days, your files may include a security exploit that was added by a cracker, and you should upgrade all of your files to 2.1.2 immediately.

Longer explanation: This morning we received a note to our security mailing address about unusual and highly exploitable code in WordPress. The issue was investigated, and it appeared that the 2.1.1 download had been modified from its original code. We took the website down immediately to investigate what happened.
