Boulder Photowalking

Several photographers in the Boulder area will be meeting on Saturday, May 3rd at 9:00 AM for a photowalk of Boulder, including the famous Pearl Street Mall. We will meet at the East end of Pearl Street Mall, corner of 15th and Pearl.

The route is about 2.15 miles long. Our path takes us through Pearl Street Mall, an outdoor, open-air mall with brick walkways, flower beds with Tulips, store fronts, sculptures and people (though not at 8am) and Boulder architecture.

If you’re on the Mac platform, you can just follow the easy instructions contained in the article. If you’re on the PC platform, there are a couple caveats to the instructions, but nothing that should keep you from setting up your PhotoBlog.

Lesson - Layers of Interest

Just read a posting over on Strobist covering an excellent photography lesson - Layers of Interest. I hadn’t really thought of compositions in this aspect and now I’m going to strive to apply this theory of layers to my photography. An excellent read that discusses “left-to-right, top-to-bottom, and front-to-back” layers in your compositions, as mastered by Henri Cartier-Bresson. Excellent post, David!
